Privacy Policy
Symn helps you remember the people you want to stay in touch with. This page explains what data the app uses and what we do with it.
What Symn stores on your device
By default, your data stays on your phone. That includes names, nicknames, notes, birthdays, groups, contact history, snoozes, settings, and backups you export.
Optional account and sync
If you sign in with email, Symn sends a one-time code through our auth provider (Supabase). After you sign in, you can sync a snapshot of your Symn data to our cloud so another device can use the same list. You control when sync runs, and you choose which side wins if phone and cloud disagree.
Synced data may include the same personal details listed above. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
Phone contacts
If you use Import from phone, Symn reads contacts you select so you can add them as people. Contact access stays on the device for that import flow. We do not upload your full address book.
Notifications
Local reminders can nudge you about today’s list. They are scheduled on your device. You can turn them off in Settings or system notification settings.
Analytics and tracking
Symn does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics SDKs in the app. The marketing site at symn.io is a static page and does not set marketing cookies for ads.
Account deletion
In Settings you can sign out, clear data on the device, and delete your cloud account and synced snapshot. Export a backup first if you want to keep a copy.
Children
Symn is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
